What a good night with a buddy of mine. Err haven’t seen each other in several weeks. We are both busy dads. Went out and grabbed a couple of beers. We talked a lot about tech and the current surveillance climate we are in. Chit chat about our families and summer plans. Human interaction with the right humans is good for the soul. 😉

My wife Volunteered me to prep a bunch of old laptops to deliver to Ecuador on our mission trip next week. I’ll have to install linux on them because some of these machines are too old for Windows 11.
I’m test driving Zorin and it has been a really good out-of-the-box ready OS.
Not much to set up, seems really easy for people who don’t know much about computers.
I’m scared to ask, but does anyone have a better idea other than Zorin? Keep in mind, it has to be as user friendly as Windows or Mac. Basically, no way can I assume the terminal is an option for daily use. And it’ll be hard for me to remote troubleshoot from thousands of miles away.

I love the Infinity Tool of Hubzilla. The last few days have been mentally tough, so when I come up check updates, I can move that slider bar and get the updates from those I care about and the garbage all gets weeded out. #hubzilla is the best!
